POPS-BaM: Guide to POEA Online Processing System for Balik-Manggagawa

POPS-BaM, apart from providing the convenience of securing an OEC online, offers additional online services that greatly benefit OFWs and Filipino workers aspiring to work abroad. By creating a POPS-BaM account, you gain access to the following services:

1. 24/7 availability of the portal.
2. Vacationing OFWs can obtain an exemption and their OEC online through POPS-BaM, as long as they are returning to the same employer and job site and have an existing DMW record.
3. Filipino workers and other OFWs seeking new job opportunities can take advantage of the Online Jobfair hosted on POPS-BaM, featuring ongoing and upcoming job fairs.
4. Job seekers can submit their applications online through the portal.
5. POPS-BaM account users can create an online profile and resume, including their education, experience, and relevant documents.
6. The portal serves as an online appointment system, enabling users to schedule an EPS appointment or visit to POEA for fast and hassle-free transactions.
7. POPS-BaM features a DMW Helpdesk, where users can create and inquire about tickets related to their concerns or retrieve their old BM records.
8. Users can access overseas employment information, submit requests for principal’s registration, apply for agency licenses, pay processing fees, and verify transaction status.

Qualifications

POPS-BaM is an online portal open to all OFWs and Filipino workers who want to work abroad. However, users should only create one e-Registration account. Having multiple accounts can impact their record history and delay contract processing. If users enter incorrect information, they should file a ticket through the POPS-BaM helpdesk system. It’s important to note that contract information relies on the details provided in the POPS-BaM account, so users should ensure that their information is accurate.

Requirements

To use the new POPS-BaM system, follow these steps:

1. Create an e-Registration account using a valid and active email address.
2. Check your email for the temporary password to log in to your POPS-BaM account.
3. Have your passport ready for registration.
4. Attach your passport and profile picture to the portal after registration.

Fill in your account details to access the portal’s services.

How to Register on POPS-BaM Online

Step 1: Visit and register on POPS-BaM.

Register a POPS-BaM account thru this link: https://onlineservices.dmw.gov.ph/OnlineServices/POEAOnline.aspx.

Click Let’s Go and Register on the e-Registration section and accept the term of use to proceed.

Step 2: Fill out the New Account Registration.

On the New Account Registration page, read the reminder and warning. Next, enter the following details that appear the same in your passport:

• First Name
• Middle Name
• Last Name
• Suffix Name (If applicable)
• Gender
• Email Address (Username)
• Birth Date

Click the Register button. Then, review the details you have provided before clicking the Yes button.

On the next screen, a prompt will appear indicating that the account creation was successful. Copy and save your e-Registration number and click the Home button.

Go to your email and check the temporary password to log in to your POPS-BaM account (see photo above).

Step 4: Log in to your POPS-BaM account.

Return to POPS-BaM, log in to your account, and click Let’s Go. Provide your email address and click the Next button. Next, enter the temporary password and click the login button.

A prompt screen will appear, asking you to change your password (see photo above). Read the reminders before you enter a new password and click the Change Password button.

After registering your POPS-BaM account, you can now provide your Pagibig ID, profile picture, and a copy of your valid passport. Remember to complete your account details in order to access the online services on the portal.

What is BM Online?

The Balik-Manggagawa (BM) online processing system has been replaced by POPS-BaM. BM was the previous portal for vacationing OFWs who were returning to the same employer and job site to secure their OEC online. Similar to POPS-BaM, BM online enabled returning OFWs to obtain an exemption and OEC without visiting POLO offices in their host country or DMW offices in the Philippines. However, since POPS-BaM replaced BM on June 30, 2021, the BM Online processing system is no longer operational.

How to Transfer Old BM Records to POPS-BaM

OFWs can transfer their old BM records to POPS-BaM by creating an e-Registration account. The transfer process takes 2 to 6 hours, and the old BM records will be automatically transferred to the new account. Follow the steps below to complete the transfer:

1. 1. Create an e-Registration account.

Wait for 2 to 6 hours for the old BM records to be transferred to the new account.:

1. Go to the POPS-BaM website.
2. Click Transfer Old BM records under DMW Helpdesk.
3. Read the reminders.
4. Next, fill out the required fields.
5. Review the details you have entered and click the Find Record button.
