SSS Coding for Walk-in Transactions of Members 2024

The Social Security System (SSS) is now allowing its members to walk into any of their branches in the National Capital Region and certain offices in Luzon, SSS Coding for Walk-in Transactions of Members 2023 Visayas, and Mindanao through a number coding system. Members and employers can choose their desired branch depending on the 10th digit of their SS number.

SSS Coding Schedule based on 10th Digit ID Number 2024

(and the designated transaction day)

  • 1 and 2 – Monday / Lunes
  • 3 and 4 – Tuesday / Martes
  • 5 and 6 – Wednesday / Miyerkules
  • 7 and 8 – Thursday / Huwebes
  • 9 and 0 – Friday / Biyernes

If an SSS member’s transaction day falls on a holiday, they can choose to visit the SSS office on the next working day or return on the designated transaction date on the following week.

For example, if the 10th digit of your SS number is 5 or 6, your designated transaction day is on Wednesday according to the SSS coding schedule. However, if this falls on a regular holiday such as May 1 (Labor Day), you have the option to visit your preferred SSS office on the next working day which is Thursday. If you are unable to do so, you must return to the SSS office on the following Wednesday, which is your designated transaction date for the next week.

Note 2: In the occurrence of what you called “System downtime / Offline” the respective sss

The SSS branch will schedule next-day appointments for members who were waiting in line during system downtime. For example, if you were waiting to make a transaction on Thursday and the system goes offline, you will be given an appointment for the following day, Friday. SSS/ER members can choose to wait for the system to come back online or return on the designated transaction day the following week. It’s worth noting that the number coding scheme doesn’t apply to members paying their SSS contributions in person.

Proper Attire when visiting an SSS Branch

Observe proper attire when you visit an SSS branch. To avoid unnecessary issues on your part it is better to wear appropriate clothing when visiting any sss office. Based on my observation the sss security guards will not accept members who wear the following “improper” attires.

  • Spaghetti straps/tank tops
  • Bareback
  • Sleeveless / Plunging Necklines
  • Tube
  • Skirts / Skimpy shorts
  • Low waist pants
  • Jersey basketball shorts/shorts
  • Cap

Note: I saw the poster at the entrance of an SSS branch that I visited.
